Roasted Shallots

Shallots have a delicate and sweet onion flavor. They can be eaten raw or cooked. They’re a nice addition to a salad dressing or cooked in a braise. We’ve discovered they are amazing roasted on their own!

To prepare for any dish cut the ends off and peel off the outer skin. Cut according to the recipe you’re using.

  • Shallots, 1 lb.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Peel shallots
  • Toss with olive oil, salt and pepper to cover.
  • Layer evenly on a sheet pan.
  • Roast 20-25 minutes. Turn over halfway through.
